BLURB

What’s the worst thing that can happen to a werewolf? Unable to shift for three months, Mateo Cruz knows all too well. His wolf has taken up residence in his head, taunting him night and day with vividly violent and carnal thoughts. Convinced he’s cursed, he needs the help of a powerful witch before he literally goes insane.

Evie Savoie has always obeyed the house rules of her coven–no werewolves. They’re known for being moody and volatile. So, when a distempered, dangerous werewolf strolls into the bar and almost strangles one of her late-night customers, she’s ready to bounce him through the door. But the desperation in his eyes when he begs her to help him softens her heart and convinces her to bend the rules.

What Evie doesn’t know is that Mateo’s wolf has a mind of his own. And now that she’s in his sights, he wants only one thing. Her.

CHRISTINA’S FIVE STAR REVIEW

You know when you’re so used to reading a certain genre from an author and then they go and switch things up on you and you’re like, “I don’t knooooow”. Yeah, this IS NOT the case with this new series from Juliette Cross. After years of reading her paranormal angels, demons and fantasy worlds, she’s giving us a different type of paranormal and I’m COMPLETELY HOOKED!!!!!!

Evie is a witch. Actually she’s one of a lot of sisters who are witches. Each one has their own special “gift” and are often sought out to help lift curses, place curses or what ever else witches do. And this is exactly where this story picks up. Evie is being asked to lift a curse. But it’s not just anyone who’s asking. Nope. It’s Mateo. A hotter than sin werewolf who she shouldn’t be attracted to, yet is. This could get complicated.

Mateo is….conflicted. Well, that doesn’t seem to be the right word. Someone has put a spell on him. Who? He has no idea. But this spell really sucks. He hasn’t been able to shift in to his wolf and his wolf has become extremely vocal…about EVERYTHING. (Side note: this is by far one of my favorite things about this book) Mateo heard about a witch that could possibly lift his curse, so he figured, why not. But now that he’s met her, lifting his curse isn’t the only thing he wants from her.

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this new series?!!!! OMG! Mateo’s inter wolf “Alpha” is THE BEST!!!! He’s exactly that…Alpha, in every sense of the word. The chemistry between Mateo and Evie is ridiculously sweet and cute, but the rawness that Alpha brings to the table will keep those pages turning.

The author does an amazing job bringing in the supporting cast and building what will no doubt be a spell binding series. I can’t wait for the next one. Bring it on!!!

AUTHOR INFORMATION

Juliette lives in moss-laden Cajun country in Louisiana where she lives with her husband, four kids, and black lab, Kona. She is a multi-published author of paranormal and fantasy romance with confident, persevering heroines and dark, sexy heroes. While she enjoys reading and writing the dark, broody types, she also appreciates the fun, levity of humor in a good love story, so she tries to give her characters both on their way to their HEA.
