BLURB
Nora Abato is the kind of girl people gravitate to.
Sassy. Selfless. Stubborn.
She knows what she wants and she’s determined to get it. And Nora wants her very own mafioso, the bad boy with a tortured soul who will do whatever it takes to protect his family.
Enzo Marchetti is the kind of guy people run from.
Rash. Reckless. Ruined.
As the Marchetti crime family’s new enforcer, he’d rather spend his days getting his hands dirty than thinking about the future, or the girl with fire in her eyes and fight in her heart.
When a new enemy threatens the Marchetti empire, Enzo and Nora suddenly find themselves in close confines, and the undeniable connection between them is pushed to its limits. He can’t resist the girl who sees past the darkness in his soul and she can’t give up on the guy who has never been taught how to love.
There’s only one problem.
Enzo isn’t Nora’s fairytale prince, he’s the villain who will destroy her dream of a happily-ever-after.
He’ll break her…
If she doesn’t break him first.
Renee’s Five Star Review:
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I have to tell you that you’re going to read one epic book when you read this one. I love when a author makes me fall in love with the bad boy. The really bad boy that you should run the other way from and not into his arms. Enzo is that guy and man is he one broken soul by what he has recently learned and had to do. This one thing has made him question everything. It also caused him to prove himself to the Familia. Like I said he is not the nice guy and sometimes he will frustrate the crap out of you. He is a hard nut to crack but he is also mean. He says and does some things to Nora that will make you wanna jump right in the book and just shake the ever loving crap out of him. This is a man who fights himself and it’s a battle of what he thinks he deserves and what he wants. Nora is alone in life. Or that is how she is feeling since her best friend got married and is living the life Nora has always wanted. Enzo just isn’t helping things either with the way he is treating her. This guy hurts her over and over again. Then you have the suspense of the book that had me one the edge of my seat and I was terrified something was going to happen that I wasn’t going to like. But by the end I loved these two so much. This is a great book. This entire series has been amazing. If I was you and I hadn’t started it I would go to the first book and enjoy the ride. I can’t wait for the next book to see what we get and enjoy some more of L.A. Cotton’s amazing words.

EXCERPT
“Needed you, Gattina.” I tucked my chin into the crook of her neck and breathed her in.
“Why do you call me that?”
“Because you’re soft right here.” My fingers dipped to Nora’s navel and stroked her smooth skin.
“And…”
“And you have sharp claws when you need them. You protect those you care about fiercely.”
“Keep going…” Her gentle laughter wrapped around me and made some of the tension in my muscles ebb away.
I’d forgotten how easy it was to just be with her. No bullshit or pretenses. I don’t know how she did it, but Nora disarmed me.
“Enzo?” She turned in my arms, staring up at me through her thick, dark lashes.
“We should get some sleep, it’s late.” And I’d already woken her once.
“I know there’s a lot you can’t tell me, and I get it. I do. But if you ever want to talk, about anything, I’m here for you. I just want you to know that.”
Fuck.
This girl.
This strong, brave, gutsy girl.
“I wish it were that simple,” I said, plucking one of her stray curls between my fingers. “But this isn’t a fairytale, Gattina.”
“You think I don’t know that? You think I don’t know that you’re not the hero of this story, but the villain?”
Her words slayed me. It was as if she’d opened up my chest and looked right into my fucking soul.
“Good and bad aren’t two sides of a coin, Enzo. They’re two ends of the same piece of string. We all have the capacity to be good just like we all have the capacity to be bad. A thief is a thief until he gives his wares to those less fortunate than himself. Then he becomes the hero of their story.”
