BLURB

I am Luther Knight.
Powerful. Businessman. I own everything and everyone around me.
Until her.
Lexi Adams challenges me in ways I never knew I needed.
She’s defiant and stubborn, unwilling to show me her true submission.
She turns my whole world upside down and no matter how much I ignore it, I can’t help but
crave her.
When she becomes desperate, The Club is all that she has, and I watch as she falls for her
Master.
She’s confused, conflicted, and unable to decide who she wants more. Me or Him.
But the difference between her and I? I know what I want. Her.
And I won’t stop until I have her at my side.
Forever.

CHRISTINA’S FIVE STAR REVIEW

I’ve done something I haven’t done in a VERY LONG TIME with this book…..I read it twice. I typically don’t re-read books, even the classics. But this one? This is masterful…pure genius.

Lexi is in a tight bind. After her mother died, she left the deli to both her and her brother. But running a business is hard and paying the bills seems to be even harder. With months of back bills and no end in sight, what’s she supposed to do? Especially when her brother shows up beaten to near death, owing the most powerful man in the city a ton of money. Is there really any other choice?

Luther is…everything. Not only is he basically the Godfather of the city, he’s hot as sin, but equally as dangerous. Unfortunately, that also means that he’s constantly looking over his shoulder, knowing that someone’s always out to get him. His guard is always up, always. That is until he meets Lexi…and now he seems to be losing his control.

Is this a BDSM themed book? Sure, there’s elements within the text and lifestyle, but that’s not ALL this book is about. So don’t let the “genre” fool you. This book is so much more. It’s desperation, lust, betrayal, and surprise after surprise all mixed up in one. And it’s one of the best books this author has written to date…..and that’s saying a lot considering I’ve loved each and every one she’s ever written!!!

Lecia’s Three and a Half Star Review:

I received this arc at no cost to the author

Luther is a bad man who owns the city, he isn’t a nice guy and craves depravity.  Lexi owns a small deli, the crappy apartment upstairs and the vermin that live in it along with her.  When her brother Charlie brings Luther into her life everything changes and it will never be the same again.

First I did like this book, I felt the characters were intriguing and dark although somewhat confusing in their roles.  The sex scenes were dirty and rough and the dialog was well written.  It’s a more of a crime drama book with some BDSM thrown in rather than a full BDSM book but was a quick read great for the beach.

My issues with the book were these 1 I couldn’t keep the story straight. There were a lot of surprises, then just kidding moments that were hard to track.  I would be pulled from the story trying to figure out what just happened so I couldn’t really get sucked in.   It was frustrating because the story is good just too many twists and turns.  2 the BDSM didn’t really feel like it, I mean is Lexi a switch??? If she’s really submissive I feel like it got lost, while yes there are brats in BDSM she kept fighting her submission the whole time and questioning everything.  It really felt like it was more Dom and Sub play rather than real life power exchange except when you get to later in a certain place Luther forces it.  It just didn’t feel like a natural progression with BDSM for me.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes crime dramas with some BDSM play.
