Blond hair, a chiseled body, and ice blue eyes. All the features of a god that trick you into thinking he’s a savior. But he’s not. Roch’s a devil in disguise. A contract killer, in a motorcycle gang, and the man I’ve been in love with since I was eight. Now that I’m legal, I’m not waiting any longer for him to realize it. So I act out, I cause a scene, I try to make him jealous. Except, I trusted the wrong person. Now Roch and his club are in danger, and it’s all my fault. I really messed up this time. Roch: Truly thinks I don’t notice how she’s suddenly everywhere now that she’s an adult. Getting into trouble, showing me what a brat she is, and making me come rescue her. But she’s my best friend’s daughter. My dead best friend’s daughter. No matter how she taunts me, it can’t happen. The Royal Bastards are my brothers and my dogs are my world. There’s no room for complications. When one of her tantrums brings trouble to my door, it’s not just her life at stake, it’s my entire club’s. Now she has my full attention, and I’m realizing Truly owned my black heart the entire time. Will we be over before we’ve begun?

CHRISTINA’S FOUR STAR REVIEW

Well well well….who’s this author? And why is this honestly the first time I’m reading her? Where have I been?!!!!!!!

I feel like I have to start off by mentioning that I love me some MC reads. So of course when I had the opportunity to pick this up, it was a no brainer. Did I find it a tad bit predictable? Sure, but it was the process that kept me engaged enough to keep reading. So let’s continue…

Triggers: There ARE triggers in this, so please be careful.

Roch, aka Will, is a very lost soul. After years in foster care, serving in the Army, being a POW and not saving his best friend, I personally don’t blame him. All he needed to do was deliver his best friends letter to his wife and he could move on…or at least that was the plan. Little did he know that his besties family would end up being his lifeline.

Truly is quite possibly the most innocent character I’ve read in an MC genre. She’s been home schooled her entire life and because of that fact is socially and personally naive. But she claims and owns that fact which is the only reason why it worked for me. I mean, imagine meeting the man of your dreams at the age of 8. Yep, you heard me. It sounds REALLY BAD, I know. But if you keep an open mind and just follow the outline and circumstances in the book…it works.

This isn’t just a “love story” between Roch and Truly. Obviously, there are demons that need to be dealt with from the past, but the present has a few demons as well. This is NOT a fufu MC. They do bad things and it’s graphic at times. And no matter how naive Truly can be, it’s her love that conquers all.

Renee’s Five Star Review:

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Truly:
Blond hair, a chiseled body, and ice blue eyes. All the features of a god that trick you into thinking he’s a savior. But he’s not. Roach’s a devil in disguise. A contract killer in a motorcycle gang, and the man I’ve been in love with since I was eight. Now That I’m legal, I’m not waiting any longer for him to realize it. So I act out. I cause a scene, I try to make him jealous. Except, I trusted the wrong person. Now Roch and his club are in danger, and it’s all my fault. I really messed up this time.
Roch:
Truly thinks I don’t notice how she’s suddenly everywhere now that she’s an adult. Getting into trouble, showing off what a brat she is, and making me come to rescue her. But she’s my best friends daughter. My dead best friend’s daughter. No matter how she taunts me, it can’t happen. The Royal Bastards are my brothers and my dogs are my world. There’s not room for complications. When one of her tantrums brings trouble to our door, it’s not just her life at stake, it’s my entire club’s. Now she has my full attention, and I’m realizing Truly own my black heart the entire time. Will we be over before we’ve begun.

Roch is the sergeant-at-arms for the Royal Bastard’s and a man of very few worlds. But he does have a huge heart for animals. He is most dedicated to his MC brothers and his dogs. And then there is Truly. She has just aged into being a legal adult and she wants only one thing. Her deceased father’s best friend Roch. This girl tries everything to get his attention and he has noticed she is showing up where he is. But now she has brought danger to the door and put everyone in the MC’s lives in danger. Will these two every get it together? You have to read and see. I loved these character’s so much. I wanted to shake Truly a time or two but then remembered I was eighteen once and did really stupid things. One can only hope all this turns out with Truly getting her man and all of them alive. You have to read it to find out. I loved this story so much. I picked it up and didn’t put it back down until I was done. I am loving the books I have read so far in the Royal Bastard’s series. I can’t wait to see who writes the next amazing book and what we get next.
