I absolutely LOVE M. Leighton books. Michelle is an awesome writer and her characters seem to love to come to life in my head as I’m reading. These two were no exception. Rogan and Katie have had their struggles but when they meet each other it all seems to melt away.
Rogan is part of a special forces black ops team as well as a relatively famous Hollywood actor. He’s shooting on set in a small town in Georgia. This is where he meets his makeup artist – Katie. She’s beautiful and Rogan can’t help but try to break into her shell and get her to give him a chance.
Katie on the other hand wants nothing to do with Rogan. He’s popular, extremely handsome, and attracts the media when he’s around. Something she doesn’t need at all. Various circumstances have caused her to become a hermit. Ultimately she’s scared to death to open her heart to Rogan. She just knows it’ll all come crashing down on her.
You know as people often do assumptions can get you in loads of hot water. There’s nothing different with fictional characters as well. I love to watch the drama unfold as realization sets in. It’s humorous sometimes. Rogan is an awesome lead male character. He’s attentive, caring, and just dominate enough. I think he could become your next book boyfriend. For real.
