This is a fantasy romance that will have you on the edge of your seat and reading like a maniac to find out what happens. Fantasy romances are not usually the thing I read the most, but this one caught my eye and I really had to read it. I am so glad that I did. This book is full of secrets, twists and turns, a forbidden romance, and is a enemies to lovers romance. This is the story of Nyra and Dacre. Her father is the king and he is absolutely horrible. Nyra decides to run away but it is dangerous with everything going on for her to be a runaway princess. She is actually a Fae Princess but she doesn’t have her magic. There is a war brewing and the danger for her is very real. But especially when she finds herself in front of Dacre, the son of the Resistance General. If they have her they can overthrow the King. However her identity isn’t revealed and she is left with no choice but to join the Resistance. I can not say more than this about the story or I am going to give something away and I don’t want to do that. I probably shouldn’t have said anything about the story. I really could go on and on and on about it. I was so hooked from the first page to the last and since this is a series you know there is going to be a cliffhanger. However I was not prepared for that at all.
