Subject: Justin Timberlake Nudes!Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you’d open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT’s “PP”. Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.

I GOT A JOB!

As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.

I know what you’re thinking- “But Jo, what’s the problem?”

Google him. Now. He’s the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there’s hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling…Do you see those dimples? Yup. That’s the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.

Lord, help us all…

XO,

Jo

Stephanie’s 3 Star Review:

I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.

This romantic comedy definitely gives you some laughs.  I thought the author did a good job with her jabs throughout the book.  I’ve rated this book a three because it was an easy, quick read that didn’t really hold a lot of emotion for me.  The story doesn’t have any angst which I love but there is a bit of drama.

This employer/employee romance is pretty sweet.  Julian Lefray is taking the helm of his sisters fashion company for her while she’s “away.”  He’s looking for an assistant and one that’s being filled by Fashion Blogger – Josephine (Jo) Keller.  Who better to work as an Acting CEO’s assistant but a fashion blogger right?  Jo also has expertise in social media which helps beef up her resume a bit.  Though it’s the nerve she has to approach Julian at a benefit about the job that I’m sure is the reason she lands the job.  Nothing to do with the way she looks…not at all.  *insert smiley face*

So these two must learn to work together and not give into their attraction.  It’s like suffering.  Sitting across from someone you’re extremely attracted to day in and out without being able to do anything about it.  I have to say Jo has awesome ideas for the company and she tries so hard to keep her distance from Julian.  It just seems inevitable that they end up together.

It’s the 21st century.  If the company doesn’t have a nepotism policy everyone’s fair game.  I think these two did their best at the dance and I enjoyed their banter with each other.  Again, there wasn’t any angst in this story that would have pulled at my heartstrings but it is a funny love story.

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things… everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
