I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Holy wow this book is dark and dirty and will leave you with more questions than answers. Natalie Bennett is quickly become one of my favorite dark authors She writes a special brand of dark that never fails to leave me on the edge of my seat. This is the story of Nova and Rhett and if your expecting two characters that your going to fall in love with and have the sweet kind of love story then you might not want to read this one. But if you enjoy quick and dirty then your going to love this book and them. Nova love her liquor and she finds peace in it every single night. She has lived through some things that only your worst nightmares are made of. However she still lives in the house where all these things happen. All she needs is her liquor bottles, her paints and her best friends. However Rhett might not be so good for her as she thinks. She feels save with him. He is super secretive and no one in their town really knows him. But that doesn’t stop everyone from wanting to go to the parties at his house and buy his special kind of Sweet Poison. However he likes to watch Nova when she has no clue that he is doing it and inserts himself in just the right places making her fall for him. I loved this book and I so can not wait for the next one!! Thank goodness the wait is not to long for the next book. I am dying for some answers.
