This is the second book in Danielle Norman’s Iron Horse Series. I highly recommend that you read Stetson before reading Slow Burn. Your going to feel lost if you don’t.
Parish had changed me. I wasn’t talking about he city. I was referring to Paris Jean Kelly. From the first time we held hands on the school bus to our first kiss, we’d been moving toward one thing, the day I would ask her to be mine. How was I to know that she thought friends couldn’t be lovers? Well..I’m going to prove her wrong. When her world turns upside down….I will be there. When she is feeling lost…I will be there. After all, it’s not about the spark of the first…it’s all about the Slow Burn.
If you have not read Stetson then you need to stop and go grab it before you read Slow Burn. We are introduced to everyone in that book and Slow Burn takes place after the events in Stetson. However this is Paris and Asher’s story. In Stetson you met the five girls that are left with a farm after their mother just takes off. Paris is mainly on the inside of the work as in doing the cooking and cleaning of the house and making sure everyone has clean clothes to wear. It is also the stuff that she had promised her mother she would take care of before the left. Paris has had one best friend for forever and that is Asher. Friends can not in any way be friends and lovers at the same time in her mind but Asher has other ideas and he plans to prove her wrong. He will not be rejected by the one woman he has always know that he is supposed to love. However a blast from the past is about to blow into town and blow apart the girls world. Can Asher succeed in what he wants or is Paris lost to him forever? You will have to read to find out. I love a good friends to lovers story and this one hit all the right notes for me!!
