BLURB

Only in the darkness can vengeance thrive…

It’s been a month since Kayla, a headstrong ruin rat, and Carl, an OmniLab trader, returned to the surface. After she helped to restore control of the towers to those who would look after the best interests of the people, she’d found herself irrevocably bonded to Alec, the new co-leader of the High Council.

Although her heart belongs to Carl, she finds it difficult to resist the strange bond between her and Alec. Caught between learning how to handle her new emerging abilities, mysterious earthquakes, and a strange group seemingly intent on targeting OmniLab, Kayla is once again swept up in events that threaten to change the entire future of the towers.

CHRISTINA’S FOUR STAR REVIEW

DISCLAIMER: Do NOT read this book without reading the first one. Even though the author does a great job bringing the reader up to speed, you’ll find herself lost a few times if you don’t know or understand the full background first.

I’m always a little harder on sequels. Why? Because I obviously fell so in love with the first one that I wanted to see where the rest of the series was going to go. Thus, I’m probably comparing it to the first book even though I shouldn’t. Don’t worry. Although I didn’t give this one a five star rating, I’m still giving it four stars due to the fact that I’m seriously falling in love with this series and all of the characters within it.

This sequel picks up right where the last one ended. Kayla is back on the surface with Carl and the camp, scavenging the ruins and feeling like she’s back at home. And although she still feels the energy pull to Alec, she needs her space just as badly. Until she uncovers something so amazing and magical that she finds herself back in the Omni Towers, fighting her feelings for both men, yet again.

Needing a moment to clear the cobwebs in her mind and heart, she purposely disappears, but danger was only waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Now, she’s discovering that there are even more layers to the past and of course she’s right back in the middle again.

In this installment, we learn more about Kayla’s previous camp members, meet new characters, fall deeper in love with both Alec and Carl and curse the ancestors of the Omni Towers. But one things for certain, the surface has only been scratched and this series still needs answers.

Bring on the next book…I’M READY!!!!
