Synopsis

Set Me Free

Torn and betrayed by her family, Emmalyn is taken to live with her mother and stepfather, who happens to be one of the most evil, vile men around.

Thrown into a world she never knew existed, Emmalyn is roomed with Kodah. A hot-headed boy, whose only weakness is her.

Both lost in this endless hell, they cling to the hope that one day they will make it out, that one day they will be set free.

Set Me Free is a dark romance. Not intended for anyone under the age of 18!

Set Us Free

For Emmalyn and Kodah being set free meant living in the real world away from the clutches of her step-father. It meant living a life they always dreamed about together.

But it’s never that easy, is it?

Life is cruel and untamed.

And not everything in their past can be forgotten. Nor is it as settled as they hoped.

With their new-found freedom comes challenges no one should ever face. Separated by memory but together at heart, Emmy and Kodah must find their way back to each other so they can finally live their happily ever after.
So they can once and for all be set free.

Virginia’s Review

Sometimes you read a book or series and it/they:

  1. Is/Are different from what you usually read.
  2. Are touched to the very depths of your soul.

I am not a reader of dark books. At all. I am a contemporary romance and romantic comedy girl. I like nice and happy things. Not just with books, with movies too.

That said, the author asked me to work on both of these books, one as a proofreader and one as an editor. I will admit I was scared going into them not knowing what to expect. I was nervous and worried. But it was for nothing.

To say I was blown away by both of these books is an understatement. These books are among the best I have ever read. They are beautiful, touching and fantastic. The writing itself is beautiful and very well done. But the stories. My God, these stories. Yes, there is dark. But there is love and light and beauty. So much beauty to them.

Emmalyn and Kodah have made their way into my heart and I will never forget them or these books. Kodah is an angel on earth and his love for and devotion to Emmalyn was amazing. Emmalyn is one of the strongest female characters I have ever read. How she survived what she did makes me admire her so- real or not.

These books are stories of love, hope, survival, and overcoming darkness. Through all the dark, through all the pain and suffering, through all the love, I was speechless.

If you have not read these books, you have no idea what you are missing. Go one click them right now and thank me later.
