Selfless by Shantel Tessier Release Review

Selfless is the third book in Shantel Tessier’s Selfish Series. I would highly recommend you read the first two books in the series Selfish and Myself first. Or at the very least Selfish since the couple in Selfless meet in Selfish.

Ashyln went against all she believed in and fell in love with what should have been her one nigh stand. She fought for it, tried to make up rules to prevent the inevitable, yet somehow he knew all along. He knew what she wanted and was willing to give it to her. Ashlyn though, took hi for granted and made him walk away. Now that he is gone Ashlyn is left with nothing but her thoughts and regrets. He wasn’t suppose to be her happily ever after. But Ashlyn’s favorite love story ends in tragedy. Why shouldn’t hers?

Ryder played the white knight. He did everything he possible could to win Ashlyn over yet it got him nowhere. Other women would have been falling at his feet. Not Ashlyn though. He wasn’t the man she really wanted so nothing he did was going to land him the girl. Love is funny and makes you blind to thinking you have the girl one minute and the next she is gone. Walking away was hard, but watching her with another man was harder. Some battles have to be picked but Ryder is smart enough to know when he has lost. Love shouldn’t be a game but he learned someone always loses. For the first time in his life he was not being selfish. However hew as the one who paid the price.

I loved this book. Heck I loved Ryder and Ashlyn in the first book Selfish. I am so glad they got an ending I was disappointed when it didn’t happen in either Selfless or Myself. I could not wait to dive in. I love Ryder. I love how he is imperfect and learns as he goes. I loved watching the change in him as i read this book. Heck I loved the journey with both of these characters. I will tell you though that Ryder is frustrating in this book. Like I want to grab him and rind his neck frustrating at times. However it is all about falling in real true last forever love and mistakes are bound to be made. We all have to learn that do not jump to conclusions lesson at some point in our lives. And boy oh boy did it take Ryder a while to learn it. Poor Ashlyn, I don’t see how she isn’t at her whits end at times since Ryder doesn’t seem to listen at all. This book has it all!! Laughter, tears, anger, frustration. I found myself cracking up at just exactly the moment I needed it. This is a love story you do not want to miss.

Shantel Tessier has done an amazing job with this entire series. I can not wait to see what she comes out with next.
