Renee’s Five Star Review:

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

The Devil comes with baggage, and not the kind you can lose. I was two years old when he saved me. I didn’t understand much at that age, but I remember the pale boy with hair as dark as ink, saving me from two evils. He said he would protect me; I just didn’t know he meant form himself. I was raised in the arms of evil, tailored for the Devil like a custom Armani suit, and every day he wore it like a weapon. Brantley thought by keeping me locked in his manor that it would protect me and it did. Until it didn’t. As I slowly adapt to The Elite Kings Club and the dark, sinister world that exists around the outlaws in suits, I come to learn that the monster everyone fears is the very same one I crave.

“Like a prized trophy, I sit on his throne…
Something quite pretty, an object he owns…

She’s a porcelain doll, so shiny, so clean…
Something I want to polish, but to never be seen…

The time has come, I am in his world…
Now his Dea, can be admired by all…

The thing with porcelain is it’s fragile and delicate…
It would only take a second for me to eradicate it…”

Oh wow y’all, This book will blow your mind and steal you heart. Have you one the edge of your seat and closing the book maybe screaming. This is the first book in a duet after all. I also would give it more than five stars if I could. I couldn’t lay this book down. I had to force myself to stop reading to get some sleep, and the first thing I did in the morning was pick the book right back up.

I also need to tell you that this book is dark. Really dark and Amo Jones has done an amazing job with pushing my boundaries and making me fall for all these characters. There are so many amazing Elite Kings I just couldn’t pick one if I had to. Get ready to meet Brantley. Well you have before and Bran Bran is not exactly who you think he is going to be. I don’t think the man owns a soul at all ever the end period. One thing he is is protective of His Saint. So I guess now that I said he didn’t have a soul I have to eat those words because the man does care about one thing. This woman is a saint on the outside but I knew just felt it in my bones that she had some darkness in her. And boy does she. We also get to see the rest of the characters that are now older than when you read their books and are settling into their roles that they were destined to take as teens. I will tell you thought that while you will love Bran you’re going to fall more madly in love with Bishop than you had been. I don’t want to tell you about this story. Not a thing. Go in blind. Do not read anything that even might remotely hold a spoiler. This book is beyond what I was hoping for and I need the next book in my hands like yesterday. Amo Jones has really outdone herself with this one.

About the Author: Amo Jones is a USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, totally winging this author thing (she’s probably doing it all wrong). She likes cake, loves wine, and her religion is magic (Slytherin). She’s a profound work-a-holic, but when she’s not writing, you can find her chilling with her kids & Husband at the nearest beach, with a cocktail in her hand. New Zealand is not a state of Australia and rugby is the best sport ever played.
