This Lotus series can be read as standalones – but I would definitely recommend reading them both. This particular book takes in the sweet nature of a doctoral degree student Amber St. James and Tantric Yoga instructor Dash Alexander.
Now if you read Resisting Roots you’re briefly introduced to both of these characters. They are the best friend and co-worker of the lead female character in Roots. So besides that – these two have noticed each other from afar but Amber has been too busy with school and is pretty shy. She’s not one of those girls who sleeps around. Actually she’s still a virgin at the age of 22. Not a thing wrong with that choice either.
The funny part is the man she lusts after is a Tantric yoga instructor. He ooses sex. Dash is definitely a man who’s swoon worthy. He helps couples get all hot and bothered during his classes and then dismisses them to go home and finish from there. Some would say that would be a tad evil – but who wants to see a bunch of people having sex in a yoga class? Yeah, no.
So as these two work together – Amber as his assistant to help w/ her course work – their attraction grows. Though there will come some issues. Major ones. Which puts the breaks on anything these two might have been building. You can hear the tire squeals and smell the burnt rubber. Then you wonder if they’ll be able to get past their selves to be for each other.
Definitely a love story you’ll want to pick up. Author Audrey Carlan brings these two to life so well in this book. I hope you enjoy it as I did.
