This is the first book in The Jewelry Box Series. This is a dark romance and you will want to check out the triggers warnings for this book before you dive in. It will contain triggers for some readers. It is the story of Henri and Ily. Henri is a man who fights his dark urges daily. He knows that he can’t let them come out to play. He has finally found a chance at a real family in a half brother he didn’t know he had. The only condition is he has to prove himself. His brother has made it his life’s mission to bring down the evil people that make it their business to steal others from their lives. However one man keeps eluding him and he has to bring him down. The only way that he can get to him is to have Henri get on the inside of the place the man keeps the jewels he steals. At the same time it will be him proving himself to her brother and getting the family he so desperately wants. Ily is a girl who is sick and tired of the boyfriend she has had for four years. They are on a trip in a foreign country and she decides the time to break up with him is in a bar when they are in an argument. This catches the attention of Henri and it just so happens the man that is there to meet Henri and decide if he comes come to his playhouse. Henri can’t take his eyes off her. From the moment he sees her he knows they have a connection. But this is so bad for her with Victor meeting Henry and noticing that he can’t stop staring at this beautiful woman. I can’t tell you anymore about this book or I will give something away. It will have you hooked from the first pages and reading well into the night. This book is dark and delicious and I really liked these characters. Ily is a really sweet girl in a very bad situation all because she felt the undeniable attraction between her and Henri. Henri has demons and he fights them all the time. I have to have the next book to see if they are going to survive this entire mess they are in.
