If you’re looking for the “normal” Vanessa Vale Menage book, this isn’t it. That being said, it’s not a bad thing, just making sure you knew going in. What this book IS, is a great story with a sexy man willing to help his girl. Harper has been running for about two years and you wouldn’t believe who she’s been running from. She’s finally found a place to live that provides her with the security she needs. That is until she gets a phone call that changes everything. Thankfully she’s surrounded by men who protect. Reed is a fighter. Not only in the ring, but in life. He’s grown up having to fight to escape his family drama as well as neighbor life. Now that he’s in a good place, life is looking pretty good. But it gets a whole lot better when he meets his new neighbor, Harper. Too bad she seems to be running scared from something. Although he’s up to the challenge in making her feel safe. Let’s just hope she allows him to. I think everyone needs a little Reed in their life. He’s such an amazing protector, with a heart of gold. Harper sure is one lucky girl.Stephanie’s 3 Star Review:

If you’re a fan of Vanessa Vale or never read her before this one is a good place to start. Harper is Reed’s new neighbor. She’s pretty skittish and at first Reed thinks she’s totally scared of him, but that’s not the case.
She’s running from her past that totally freaks her out. Her parents have made it crystal clear they support her criminal brother over her any day. That criminal is after her no matter where she tries to hide.
Good thing Reed is a trained MMA fighter. He can take care of himself as well as his girl. Which she so desperately needs. Their love story might come together quickly but they’re definitely made for each other.
Brains and braun. This couple is a match that may not look like they fit but they definitely do. I recommend you check them out.
