If you haven’t read Volume 1 you need to stop right here and pick that up first before you get to Volume 2. This is a trilogy that follows the same two main characters and you’ll need to keep up with their back story then their present day story.
Volume 1 leaves off with Tyler stealing Paris from her courthouse wedding and whisked her off to their engagement party followed by their wedding. Now this might seem confusing if you’re reading this review prior to the book but it’ll all make sense when reading the book!
In this volume Paris is thawing toward Tyler much quicker than she thought she would. The “old Tyler” as she refers to him doesn’t seem to be around. She’s seeing a new, more responsible side of the man who holds her heart but doesn’t know it. This doesn’t help keep her heart in check either.
Of course by the end of this volume in true Kim Karr fashion we have a bit of conflict. Well….it’s not really a bit…it’s quite damaging if you just think you know what you saw.
As I’ve said before – communication in relationships is key! I think you’ll enjoy this series. I am at a tug of war with the characters, myself, because they’re both so dang stubborn! Apparently it’s inherited because her father and his grandfather seem to have been the most stubborn men on the planet!
If you’ve not picked up this new series by Kim Karr, definitely go ahead and start! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
