Synopsis

There’s only so much pain and loss one person can handle before they shut off emotionally. Detective Jase Stevenson experienced more pain than any one person should have to bare at a young age. After waling in on his parent’s brutal murder, he vowed to get revenge on the culprit. What he didn’t plan on was her.
Tiffany Warner had her own set of problems growing up. All she wanted out of life was to be loved and to love someone in return. She never expected to fall for him, a man who seemed incapable of giving her the one thing she wanted…tomorrow.
How long can one person wait before walking away? Are some people just broken beyond repair? Can Tiffany convince Jase to let her in?”

Lee Ann’s Review

A quick and easy read. Jase has had a horrible past and no matter what he does he can’t help but feel guilty for his parents murder. He’s made his heart turn to stone knowing that if he let anyone in, their life will be on the line. He’s kept everyone at arms reach until he realizes that Tiffany has cracked his façade. Will he risk everything to let Tiffany in? Or will he choose to keep his heart made of stone to keep her safe? 2 stars
