“In its purest form love is self-sacrificing, eternal, selfless, enduring, truthful, forgiving and indulgent. It also feels an awful lot like a kick to the stomach when you try to fight it!”

All Everleigh Carsen wanted to do was complete her final semester at Hensley University and begin the life she carefully planned.

When a wave of violent crime seizes campus, Everleigh is persuaded to attend a school sponsored self-defense seminar by her best friend, where she meets volunteer instructor, Hunter Charles. After Everleigh’s biting sarcasm induces Hunter to eject her from class, a tempestuous relationship is born.

Everleigh is determined to forget the striking man, but fate—that fickle shrew—continuously intervenes. Unable to escape him, she declares Hunter an enemy combatant. The only complication…Hunter is resolutely pursuing vindication…by any means necessary. Verbal warfare ensues, and despite Everleigh’s ingenious efforts, in Hunter, she has finally found her equal.

Only For You is a compelling tale of friendship, desire, and redemption—brimming with intelligent characters, witty dialogue, unexpected twists, profound sorrow, unfettered hope, and love’s unassailable perseverance.

Lori’s Review:

I was given this book for an honest review.
When I started this book I had no idea what it was about.  As soon as I opened it on my kindle and read the quote at the beginning of chapter one I was sucked in “The world is not full of assholes.  But, they are strategically placed so that you’ll come across one every day”- unknown  yeah that got me I even had to share that part with a few of my friends before I continued to read the actual book!
The characters in the book are funny, smart, sassy, strong, crazy and relatable.  The story was well written and fast paced. It was a mystery, thriller and a little bit of romance with some angst thrown in on top.   This book had me laughing at the banter between Everleigh and Hunter.  And also between Everleigh and Sam.  Over all this book is definitely worth reading. A stand alone with  NO Cliff-hanger! 4/5 stars!

Leah’s Review:

FOUR STARS!!
So, in Only For You we meet Everleigh (awesome name)
and she is senior at an ivy league college with her best friend Sam. In the
last year and a half there have been brutal attacks on compass, where the
victims are female students. Enter in the self-defense teacher Hunter, and of
course he is a stud. As I started this book, I was thinking “wow I have read a
few too many book with this same story line in the last year), well to say I was
wrong is an understatement. We go on an expedition with Everleigh and Hunter
that deals with lies, love, heartbreak, betrayal, and redemption. I loved the
story line and I didn’t feel the “teeny-bopper” vibe from the characters like a
lot college aged books (which I don’t mind but having characters act like they
are in their mid-20s was nice). This book has some twist and turns, it follows
along nicely. There wasn’t any spots where I had to stop and ask myself
“wait-what- when did that happen? Or what are they talking about? The author
has a great vocabulary and she knows how to use this vocab. The book doesn’t
read like it should be in medical journal instead of being a novel; that I have
seen happen if the writer uses the thesaurus a little too much. I enjoyed this
book greatly and I would probably read it again. I love quotes so, here are my
top favorite quotes from Only For You!!!

“The world is not full of assholes. But they are strategically placed so that
you’ll come across one every day—unknown

“Don’t even pretend you don’t see that prime cut of meat. I’m quitting food and
becoming a manivore”
“Shove his balls so far down his throat that he would have breast.”
“That deceitful,two-faced, duplicitous, liar liar pants on fire!”
“Jose had loosened my tongue, curse him, the ninety proof bastard.”
“I already knew, for me there is only you. No matter what happened between us in
the future, it would only ever be you. I was made for you—only for you.”
