I’ve been racking my brain, trying to figure out the last time I read a book by this author was. I’m extremely embarrassed to admit that I had to search all the way back to 2013 when I read her Driven series (which I loved BTW). I then I realized, HOLY CRAP, why haven’t I stayed current with her books because they’ve been awesome and this one is no exception. (smacks face with palm)
Vaughn is a complicated woman. At least that’s what her life has made her these last few months since her sister passed. Having incurred debt and responsibility, she’s turned to the one thing she never thought she would in order to make money quick. Well sort of. Running an escort service isn’t exactly the same as being one of the girls, but then again, poo happens and you never know when the tides can turn.
Ryker is one of the most successful divorce attorney’s in the area. Add in the fact that he’s extremely easy on the eyes and filthy rich, and you’ve got yourself quite the catch. So why is he turning to an escort service when he could have anyone on his arm? Good question. And what happens when he least expects the unexpected?
This book is jam packed with pretty much everything you can think of: lies, lust, vulnerability, and some of the best banter I’ve read in a while. But that’s just to name a few things. While Vaughn is struggling to come to terms with things in her life, Ryker is shocked to realize that he’s turning in to someone he never thought he would.
There are times in this book that you’ll swoon and then there are times that you’ll want to literally punch your hand through the book and strangle someone. But most importantly, you’ll be glued to each and every page. Especially considering this IS NOT a standalone!!!
Buckle up folks. This is one wicked ride….
