This is the first book in the Wicked Poison Series from T.L Smith. This is the story of Rylee Harley and August Trouble. Rylee is a girl who has grown up with a silver spoon in her mouth and unlike her twin sister she is working in the family business and doing everything even dating Anderson to make them happy. However, Anderson is abusive and I hated this guy so much. I just wanted to crawl into this book and smack the living crap out of him!!! He is a liar and cheater and has done so many things that are unforgivable but Rylee’s mom is determined for them to get married and I swear he thinks she owns him. One night at a bar though Rylee runs into August who she has not seen in year and he has been in prison. But thanks to the help of Rylee’s twins sister boyfriend, Noah he was able to get him released early and August is determined to stay on the straight and narrow. He has a little sister he loves and protects but he also has this attraction the Rylee that he fights only wanting to be friends with benefit. I have to say that I devoured the story. Enjoyed the dangerous elements of this book. Poor August has to fight for everything and it so wasn’t and isn’t fair. I loved him and Rylee together no matter how hard he tried to fight it or deny that he had feelings for her. He was convinced he was bad for her and she was convinced that he was the one who could make her whole again. This is a story that you don’t want to miss. Will have you on the edge of your seat and you will want the next book the second you close this one. I think I finished this book with my mouth hanging open and I know there were tears. This is a great book and one that you do not want to miss.
