Sometimes you read a story that is so phenomenal and addicting that you have a hard time putting into words how brilliant it was. That is me and Regretting You. As I tried to think of what to say about this masterpiece, I knew I couldn’t do it justice. Regretting You is absolutely one of the best books I have ever read. Colleen is at her finest with Regretting You. She writes the dynamic between a mother and a teenage daughter to perfection and realistically. My daughter is the same age as the daughter in this story (Clara) and I so felt for her and the mother (Morgan). They try to navigate through tragedy, grief, and betrayal all while having a strain on their relationship already. What we get is a story told in dual point of view that is emotional, heartwarming, and sad at times but also put a smile on my face. Love and forgiveness as well as young love are also a part of this story. This story was flawlessly written, perfectly paced, and had characters that were not only relatable but extremely likable as well. Once you pick it up, you won’t put it down. An absolute must read!! I can’t wait for everyone to read it. I would give it 10 stars if I could! An arc was provided for an honest review.
