“Remember that one guy you thought the world of; smart, fun to hang out with and easy to talk to, but no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t find him….sexy? That’s been Marisa Moretti’s problem since she met her best friend, Alexander Lawford. She can’t imagine her life without him, but when Alexander reveals that he wants more than friendship, Marisa doesn’t know what to say, except that she just doesn’t see their relationship heading in that direction. After Alexander gets a different job, they find themselves on opposite sides of a public relations nightmare, all but destroying their friendship. When they meet again, Alexander is more confident, decisive, and flirtatious, and while he has moved on with his life, Marisa is charmed yet confused by this….stranger. She hopes to revive their friendship, but for the first time, Marisa secretly wonders what it would feel like if they become something more than friends.”

The story line was great; two best friends, one who is in love with the other, and one who is scared of being a cruel, cold, and unloving just like her mother. When Marisa breaks Alexander’s heart he realizes he hasn’t been true to himself. When he decides to start living everyone around him sees his changes, even Marisa. Will it be the change that makes the difference in their relationship? 1 star I truly wish it could be more but the story was slow and I hope book 2 will be great!
