NAILED BLURB:
RYDER: You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, Laurel. And if that’s all of you I ever get to see, I’ll be the luckiest man in the world for having seen it. I swallow hard. He wasn’t supposed to make it sweet. He was supposed to leave it dirty and inappropriate, so I could tell myself all he wanted was sex. That all he cared about was getting me naked, or if not that, then at least seeing me naked.Instead, he turned it sweet. And I couldn’t tell myself any lies to keep me on my high horse.

Stephanie’s 4 Star Review:

I received a free copy of this book from the author.

This is book three in the Dad Bod Construction series.  Each of them can be read as stand alone novels, however, I would recommend reading them all in order.  Just to get the dynamics of the characters.

Nailed focuses on Ryder and Laurel.  Ryder and Laurel both have troubled relationship histories which makes jumping into something with each other a bit scary and comes with quite a bit of uncertainty.

I enjoyed reading their love story. Both of them have had scarring relationships that left lasting scars. Laurel is a single mother and she knows that any man she introduces to her son has to be around for the long haul otherwise it’s just not worth it.

What I really like was Laurel’s son giving her the what-for in regards to the relationships she has had with men in the past including his father.  It’s clear children understand more than adults think they do and can offer some insightful thoughts to some situations.

What really won me over in this book is the protectiveness Ryder shows over Laurel and her son when the boy’s father shows his behind.  I was cheering Ryder on hoping for blood but his actions solved the issue just as well.

If you’re a long time Jasinda Wilder reader or just starting her books – this series is definitely one to check out. They have a bit of humor but each of the characters offers something different to their relationships.  It’s almost like you get a warm fuzzy with your happy ever after.
