A good person, a good man, a good father wouldn’t leave his children a few days after their mother died to go hide in a secret love-shack he once kept with their biological mother. Juliet and Jacob deserve a good parent, and not a shit mess like me. I’m a worthless, empty excuse for a man without my wife, I’m nothing without Sara, and they can’t see me like this. As with the first two books in the series, Tali has done it again! This entire series is fantastic and Lost in Rewind is a fabulous ending to the series.
Lost In Rewind is Jeffrey’s story. He is a character many of us may have mixed feelings about. In Lies in Rewind, he came across as selfish and an ass and was someone we hated. His overall actions and his relationship with two women leave one wondering what is going through his head. Like I really couldn’t get what he was thinking at times. You love him, you hate him. He has you all over the place.
This is his story and his chance to redeem himself. There are many layers to him- much more than meet the eye. He bases a good number of his life decisions on what a fortune teller told him years ago. Unfortunately, that perhaps was not the wisest choice and not the right way to go. His decisions brought him love but they also gave him much heartache and anguish. Since his present isn’t what he thought it would be, he goes back to find the fortune teller. With that, we get his side of things and a newfound compassion for Jeffrey.
Lost in Rewind is a fast paced, emotional, heartbreaking, well written story that will have you all over the place. You will feel a lot. And I mean FEEL. Poor Jeffrey. You will feel for him. The prologue is powerful and gripping and the whole story remains that way. The writing is fantastic and the characters are so well developed. I love the way Tali always uses song titles in her stories. It’s so unique, creative and fun. You won’t be disappointed in the conclusion of this series!!
