Trails of Sin is the new series from Pam Godwin. This is a three book series but each book is about a different main character who you are introduced to in Knotted. This is Jake and Conor’s story.

I try to forget her. It’s impossible. Growing up together, Conor and I shared all our firsts. First love, first kiss, first ….Not all our firsts. We were sixteen the night she was violently assaulted while I helplessly watched. I’ll never forget the sounds of her suffering. Or my inconsolable agony when she left Oklahoma. Years later she returns to honor our teenage pact. Except the boy she loved is gone, replaced by a ruthless cattle rancher knotted with secrets. She doesn’t know my dark cravings or the trail of sins that lead to her. I don’t deserve her, but one truth remains. She is mine.

This book deserves more than five stars. It was absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful. I did not read the description of this book. Stephanie knows me well enough to know that if Pam Godwin writes it I want to read it and I waited patiently on the time to come for me to read this book. I thought I was going to be getting a sweet cowboy love story so it shocked me when I almost threw up at Chapter two. However, I should know better this is Pam Godwin after all. Jake and Conor have been raised together. Both losing their mom in the same automobile accident and their fathers raised them as one big family. Jake and his twin and Conor and her brother Lorne. Jake and Conor have always had a thing for each other. They are each other’s first loves and on her sixteenth birthday it is the night that they have planned to share just about the last of many firsts they can share together. However things take a drastic turn of events and this is where my mouth hit the ground as the most horrible thing that can happen to Conor happens and the three boys are forced to watch. It is also the last time they are all together and life changes drastically for Conor. Her father is the scum of the earth. I hated that man with a passion and so much wanted to see him get what was coming to him. Just be prepared because while their story is one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking stories it is hard to read and it may trigger some readers. I can’t say a lot about this book as I don’t want to give something away. It is so good though that you will not want to put it down and has just that Pam Godwin flair to it that I love so much. I can not wait to read the next book in this series as I just know it is going to be equally amazing. If you only read one book this year Knotted needs to be it. Just be ready to be thrown into a ugly world that comes out beautiful in the end.
