Miri is a junkie. Hooked on heroin and needing her next fix desperately. So desperately she walk right up on the lawn of Austin most notorious drug lord to beg for some H. Never mind that her life is in extreme danger. She’s is clueless. Even if her next fix costs her her life. Or changes it forever.
This book is not puppies and sunshine. It’s dark and gritty. Miri is so addicted to heroin she is nearly out of her mind desperate for her next fix. She doesn’t think twice about going to the Bossman’s mansion to see if her dealer is there or beg for her next fix. It doesn’t take her long after she’s discovers to figure out she’s made a serious mistake. Desperate to right some wrongs in his past Boss takes one look at Miri and sees the kind of woman she is beneath all the dirt and filth and he is determined to help her. Thus begins a journey for the most feared drug lord in all of Austin and the junkie who just wanted her H. I loved every second of this story. It’s not pretty. It’s not suppose to be in a world that’s as dark and dangerous as the drug world.
This is the first book I’ve read from Heather Leigh. She had me hooked at the prologue and I didn’t put it down till I was finished. I can not wait to read the next book.

Junkie is the first book in the Broken Doll series, and it is Jag and Miri’s story.
When you are a heroin addict, you will do anything for your next fix. Miri is experiencing withdrawals, and she is so desperate that she shows up at Jag’s house. Jag aka “Boss” runs the drug business in Austin, Texas, and he is known for being cold and ruthless. Any other time an intruder showed up at his house, he would shoot first and ask questions later, but he finds himself intrigued by Miri. While it is painfully obvious that she is a junkie, Boss catches a glimpse of the strong and determined woman she was before the drugs took over, and he is determined to help her. Why? For fear of spoilers, all I will say is that he is striving to right some wrongs from his past. Little by little, Miri emerges from the darkness of her addiction, and she and Boss grow closer. Just as things are looking up, one of Boss’ enemies puts a plan in action that has the power to destroy everything.
This is my first time reading anything by Heather C. Leigh and let me just say that she certainly knows how to craft a story that will draw you in from the very beginning. Through her strong attention to details, she offers the reader insight into the dark world of addiction. Alas, this is a two part series, and it ends with a huge cliffhanger that will leave you desperately wanting more! I know that I can’t wait for the next book!

Meet Heather Leigh
Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the ‘dark’ side of fame. The part that the public doesn’t get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.
Heather was born and raised in New England and currently lives outside Atlanta, GA with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.
