BLURB

Recommended for mature readers due to strong language and explicit sexual situations.

I never believed in fate. That was something for the dreamers, the romantics, not someone as practical and pragmatic as I.

Fate had nothing to do with me walking in on my soon-to-be husband in a compromising position with his secretary.

Fate had nothing to do with me hopping on a plane to Rome, effectively standing up my former fiancé on our wedding day.

And fate certainly had nothing to do with the handsome stranger sitting across the aisle from me, one who would open my mind and heart to things I never thought possible.

Because if fate is real, if fate is pulling the strings, if fate is in charge of each person’s destiny, she’s cruel and unforgiving.

Why would fate want me to experience a connection as I never had in my life, only to remind me it’s fleeting?

Why would fate give me everything I never knew I always wanted?

Why would fate let me have a taste, then crush those dreams?

He could never be mine.
I could never be his.
And his deception may just be my breaking point.

Renee’s Five Star Review:
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is Part One to what looks like a four part novella series from T.K. Leigh. I will tell you to go ahead and expect a cliffhanger.

Ellie never believed in fate. That was something for the dreamer’s, the romantic’s, not someone as practical as she is. Fate had nothing to do with her walling in on her soon-to-be husband in a compromising position with his secretary. Fate had nothing to do with her hopping on a plane to Rome, effectively standing up her former fiance on their wedding day. And fate certainly had nothing to do with the handsome stranger sitting across the aisle from her, one who would open her mind and heart to things she never thought possible. Because if fate is real, if fate is pulling the strings, if fate is in charge of each person’s destiny, she is cruel and unforgiving. Why would fate want her to experience a connection as she never had in her life, only to remind her it is fleeting? Whey would fate give her everything she never knew she always wanted? Why would fate let her have a taste, then crush those dreams? He could never be hers and she could never be his. And his deception may just may be her breaking point.

Poor Ellie I think I thought a million times. I could never imagine living the life she is expected to live. To do exactly what her parents wanted her to do in everything and to end up having to marry a man for political aspirations for both of the families. You see Ellie was suppose to marry Brock but instead caught him cheating on her and on her wedding day she hops a plane to Rome and is determined to figure out just exactly who she is without her parents controlling her life. Brock is awful. UGH I did not like him at all even though he isn’t one of the characters in the book except in the stories Ellie told of him. He sounds like a very selfish man and I was so happy that Ellie ran. What she didn’t expect was to meet a man on the plane who seemed to be able to read her life a book. This is the moment you know that Dante and Ellie are destined to bigger and better things. Dante you see believes in fate and Ellie does not. Although she begins to see that fate is probably the reason that he was sitting on that plane and that it was his restaurant she dined in her first night in Rome. He is also the man who opens her eyes to so many things she never realized were actually wrong in her life. I love Dante and Ellie together. But I will say you better be hanging on to something for the ending of this book. I never in a million years would have thought what happened was going to happen. Holy shocked. To say I can not wait for the second part of this series is an understatement.

This is amazing must read beginning to what is bound to be an absolutely mind blowing, passion filled series from T.K. Leigh.
