I received a free copy of this book from the author.
Even though this is book six in the Fixed series you could read it as a standalone. You’ll miss a whole back story though but the author quickly brings you up to speed with the story in this book. I don’t have it marked on GoodReads that I’d read any of this series before but the characters are familiar to me so I would guess I’ve at least read the first book.
Anyway – this particular book you’ll find Alayna still recovering from having twins and recovering some psychosis from post pardum depression. She’s warring with herself on whether or not to go back to work. It’s a tough process, speaking as a mom of two. I’m able to stay at home with them but you want to feel useful too besides doing house stuff all day.
Hudson is totally in love with his family. When he starts getting threatening letters sent to him at various locations he starts to get worried about their safety. Each letter brings more of a notice that it’s a personal vendetta than a business one. Deciding who’d be out to get him is a lengthy list.
Warring with each other over all that’s happening in their lives is just something spouses do. Life is busy and complicated. There’s always a reason to tell your spouse what’s going on though. Especially when it comes to their safety.
So y’all know I’m not going to spoil this book for you. Y’all will just have to read it. The story flows well and you’ll probably find yourself reading through it pretty quickly. You’ll have to let me know if you figure out what’s going on before it actually reveals itself! Happy reading!
