Fire is the second book in the Elite Forces Series from Hilary Storm and Kathy Coopmans. You must read Ice first or your going to be lost. Plus you don’t want to miss how Kaleb and Jade got their start.
Kaleb Maverick is fighting for his life. One simple in and out mission gone wrong and he stands to lose everything. He’s not going to let that happen because Jade is his world. He’s waited his whole life to find her and he’s not losing her now.
Jade Elliott the first female Ranger is tough as nails. She’s a fighter and the best at her job. Having already lost one man in her life she has no intention of letting it happen again. Kaleb is the love of her life and she will do anything to keep him and take out anyone who threatens that. With a passion so strong she’s not afraid of anything except losing. Kaleb. Danger in the form of someone who will do whatever it takes to get revenge on Kaleb lies around every corner. Can these two survive the things thrown at them and make it to their happily ever after?
Fire is not a book that takes off after a few chapters. It’s action packed and heart pounding excitement from the Prologue. I keep thinking Ice was the build up and Fire is the payoff. I think I picked my jaw up off the floor several times and could not put this book down. It’s action packed and in some ways disturbing at times but so worth all the emotions you will go through. Kaleb is such an alpha, tough as nails male and Jade is the strongest female character I’ve read in a long time, and certainly Kaleb’s equal in every sense of the word. Both totally control freaks they fight for control in their relationship which is so much fun for a reader to watch unfold. There are also moments that will have your heart and you kindle melting. It’s so hard to say anything about the story line and not give something away and I’m not ruining this one for anybody.
Hilary Storm and Kathy Coopmans have written a book that will have you on the edge of your seat, yelling at your kindle, and swooning all in the same breath. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. Fire and Ice are complete opposites when you think about them but in this series they will rock your world.

Fire is the second book in the Elite Forces series, and it is the continuation of Kaleb and Jade’s story. As this is not a stand alone, you should read, Ice, the first book in the series before reading this.
With this book, there is no lull or gradual build up of the story line. From the very first chapter, the reader is thrust into the dangerous and heart stopping world of Kaleb Maverick and Jade Elliott. These two literally go through hell and just as one situation is resolved another one pops up. Can their love survive when unknown enemies seem to be lurking around every corner threatening to not only destroy their new found relationship but their lives as well?
I really enjoyed this book! The action is non stop and will leave you gripping the edge of your seat with anticipation! I will warn you that some of the scenes are disturbing and quiet gruesome. However, they are necessary to complete the story line. I must admit that I fell head over heels for Kaleb and Jade and found myself rooting for them to get the happily ever after they so deserved. They were both strong individuals, but together they were a force to be reckoned with. Even in the midst of turmoil, their love always found a way to shine through! The secondary characters were great as well, and I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series which is Harris’ story. It is set to release some time this summer, so if you haven’t read the first two book in this series, you still have time. Hurry and one click them now! Kudos to both Hilary and Kathy for creating such a riveting series!

Love, a word never on my radar, has now taken over my existence. My world revolves around this man.
I’m in love with him because of the deep connection I felt the second I saw him and dealing with the torture of this week has only intensified my feelings. My mind went crazy, thinking of everything he went through, as I examined all of the marks on his body. I can tell he was whipped many times. The wounds are starting to heal, but I’m afraid the surface scars will always be there. And I don’t even want to think about the internal scars something like this would bring.
I don’t care what he looks like or how much this will torment him. He takes me and I take him just the way he is.
