I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
This book is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. It’s been a while since I read anything in this series so this was definitely a standalone read. Blake Bennett has always been the fun, playboy guy. Never really serious about the dating scene. Clara is looking for her forever but doesn’t think she’ll ever been seen by him. She’s always been attracted to Blake but remained in the friend zone.
When Clara needs some help and moves in next to Blake until her house is finished he realizes he may have more than a friendly interest in her. There’s a number of things that can go wrong with moving from friends to lovers. Clara is like a member of the family as it is already. Their relationship is able to progress quite quickly.
I enjoyed reading Clara and Blake’s story. Their banter back and forth is one of familiarity but also the newness of a relationship that’s more than platonic. Of course you know something has to try and drive a wedge in the mix. With all the love surrounding these two it’s really quite easy to make the right choice. I think you will enjoy this book. It read quickly. The characters are just so likable you won’t want to put it down.
