Yes…this book was published a decade ago. And yes…I’m just now picking it up. Why? Because I literally stumbled on it while looking for a book on NetGalley and I had NO IDEA that it was a decade old. The best part? I doesn’t read like it’s a decade old..it was so good!
Keely is the daughter and sister of Military men. Yep, every single one of them. You can say that because of that, she’s extremely well trained in every possible combat situation. So when she intercepts a message that puts for brother in some serious trouble, she takes matters in to her own hands and heads out to rescue him and his crew.
Ren is the head of the specialty team sent around the world to protect and clean up messes that the government can’t (in loose terms). He’s currently in the Argentinian forest with his crew, preparing for a meeting when Keely literally steps out of thin air claiming she’s there to protect them. What?!!! He soon realizes that she’s no only right, she’s just as dangerous as he is. And damn if that’s not a turn on. But first, getting out of Argentina alive.
I LOVE KEELY!!! She’s 100% badass chick that doesn’t apologize for anything. Including being who she is. Add in the fact that she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. Poor Ren didn’t stand a chance.
Although the “romance” side of this book was intriguing and cute, the drama is what pulled me in. This is a non-stop action packed book that has spitfire Keely pulling weight and taking names. Have I mentioned that I LOVE HER?!!!!
I can totally see why there are six books to this series. And this is just the first one!!!!! WOW!!!!!
