If you love age gap books then you are going to love this one. If you have never read one I have to say the age gap never really has affected my reading a book that has one. However, there are some people that it bothers and you might want to take that into consideration if you are one of them. I loved River and Grayson. He was there when her world was exploding and so much unhappiness was happening for her. They first met when River was twelve years old. Now time has past and they come face to face again but he doesn’t remember her. Grayson though through the years has carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. That is just how he is and always has been. He never has romantic attachments and you will learn his reasons for this. But, when River enters his life again he doesn’t seem to think there is much choice by to open up his heart to live and love. River is wise beyond her years and I fell so in love with her. She has always known that Mr. Price carried a piece of her heart with him and now the time has come to either get it back or give him her whole heart. This is a book that you will devour. You do not want to miss this one.

I am a huge fan of both, Ava Harrison’s books and forbidden romances, so when I saw this book was coming out I couldn’t wait.
You might think this is just the story of a young girl and her father’s best friend having an affair. But it’s so much more than that. Yes this is a story of that but it’s also the story of two people who have had things happen to them in the past, and because of those things they have issues trusting and loving others. They want to be together but can they be with all they have going against them? Can they save/help each other? Will the fact that this is a forbidden romance stop them from being together?
Ava has written a story full of angst that will pull you right in. The characters were relatable and complex and I felt for them. Grayson was so moody and cranky but he has his reasons and River was sweet and trying to get over her feelings of abandonment. They have a hard time staying away from each other and when they get together it’s explosive. Their first kiss had me swooning and sighing. Their romance was steamy and sexy and I couldn’t wait for them to get together.
Well written and heartwarming, I loved this story. Go one click!
