Penelope and Vi have killed it once again!! I can’t get enough of their stories. Dirty Letters was fantastic!! But I knew it would be. To me, this one is a little different than their other co-written books but I loved it just as much as the other ones. From the title, one might think this is a story of two pen pals that write each other dirty letters and it’s all hot and steamy. Yes, that is part of this story. But only part of it. A small part. There is so much more to this phenomenal story. This is the story of Luca and Griffin. Once childhood pen pals, they reconnect as adults through letters again. But there are issues in the way of them being together. Luca suffers from crippling anxiety. Something many people have. And something I have not really seen addressed in many books. I give the authors kudos for tackling it and doing it well. I can’t imagine not being able to leave the house or be in crowds. But this is Luca’s life. It’s more than clear that her and Griffin are meant to be together. But his life doesn’t really work with her anxiety. Can they make it work? Dirty Letters is another addictive read from this fantastic duo. It’s seamlessly written, emotional, moving, witty, and heartwarming. Griffin is the sweetest guy ever. He’s so caring and understanding with Luca and her issues. But is his love enough to help Luca overcome all her fears? I found Luca to be brave, even though she didn’t see herself that way. And Doc- what a great addition to the characters. Told in dual POV, this story touched my heart and while it made me sad at times, it also made me very happy. I smiled and laughed and was rooting for Luca and Griffin to end up together. I won’t tell you how it all plays out but I will tell you you will love every word. Go one click- you won’t regret it!!
