It’s time to pay my father’s debt. Nobody is stupid enough to steal from him, Cayden Vitali. They call him Devious for a reason. He doesn’t let his debts go unpaid. He collects what he’s owed. Lex Bartoli works for Devious. Lex should know better than to steal his money. But mistakes were made, and now it’s time to pay.Unfortunately for me, Devious knows exactly what he wants as payment for Lex’s stupid mistake.

Me.

Lex’s daughter.

If I won’t agree to marry Devious, he has another way of making my family pay. The choice is mine. Marry the enemy… or watch him kill my father as payback. Devious is a mafia book with an arranged marriage, enemies to lovers and an age gap romance. This book contains graphic violence, dubious content, and may contain triggers.

CHRISTINA’S FIVE STAR REVIEW

Who is this author?!!!!!!!! Seriously…where did she come from? I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve never heard of her before… but now I’m obsessed!!!!!!

And why did this publish last year and I’m JUST NOW HEARING ABOUT IT???!!!!!!

First, let’s start with a disclaimer. This is a mafia dark romance novel. If you have triggers of rape, abuse, etc., please be prepared that pretty much all of the above is in this. So don’t read it and then complain that it’s in it. Just sayin….

Roselyn is the daughter of an underboss in the mafia. This particular underboss gets himself in to debt often and has been using her to pay off his debts. How? By trying to marry her off to other underboss’, which have failed mainly because she runs away. That is until his boss gets involved. Now? Now she’ll be marrying the don of the famiglia because betraying him will not only cost her her father’s life, but her own.

Devious is the don of the famiglia. He’s drop dead gorgeous and ruthless to the core. Pretty much an extremely dangerous combinations. Having to find a wife to bear his children, picking Roselyn wasn’t too far fetched. After all, she’s beautiful and has been in the mafia her whole life, knowing what’s expected of her. What he doesn’t expect is that she’s not like all of the other girls. She’s defiant, whiny and childish. But her bravery and sass have captivated him. Unfortunately, dealing with her in the middle of a war isn’t so easy. Hopefully she doesn’t get in the way.

Although these two are toxic with each other, man oh man, they are perfect for each other. The timeline of this story is very well written. I didn’t feel like the “feelings” involved were rushed because the timeline felt realistic. The war between the famiglias, the war between “friends” and the war between Devious and Roselyn make for this amazing dark romance novel. You’ll also meet other characters along the way that I’m praying will get their own story as well.

If you like dark romances, you honestly need to pick this up. But be prepared, because once you pick it up, you’ll have a hard time putting it down. I didn’t. I’m pretty sure I ignored my family because I HAD TO KNOW what was going to happen. I know, bad mom. But I couldn’t help it, it’s THAT good!

J.M. writes dark romance. When she is not reading and writing about hot villains and antiheroes, she is spending time with her boys and husband. Travel, food, video games, and anime are her hobbies.
