Devastate, Book #4 in the Deliver Series

Amazon | Other Retailers | Goodreads

“What is the price you’re willing to pay?”
“Money isn’t an issue.”
“I’m not talking about money.”

Tate is on the hunt to find his best friend’s sister.
Eleven years ago, Lucia Dias was abducted. Presumed dead. He never met her, so why does he care?
Some might call his efforts noble, but his motivation is more perverse, bordering on obsession.

When he follows a chilling lead to Venezuela’s Kidnap Alley, what he finds is neither a corpse nor a captive.

Amid poisonous lies and crippling depravity, the price of love is devastation.
And he pays.
With his body, his blood, and her life.

Devastate
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book form the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Devastate is the fourth book in Pam Godwin’s Deliver Series. I highly recommend that you read Deliver, Vanquish and Disclaim before reading Devastate. Characters carry over from one book to the other and you will have a much better understanding of them and their stories.

Holy Cow let me first say that I don’t think I have ever read a book that has such a perfect title for the book. Devastate…..think about it for a minute. Now you know what you are in for when you read this book. I liked Tate in the other books but especially Disclaim. Tate and Camilla are the best of friends. However deep inside Tate has been in love with her but knows that she doesn’t love him in the same way so to help her discover something in her life she thinks is long gone, he sets out to find her long lost believed dead sister. There was a plane crash and no one survived. Only Lucia did survive and is not in the hands of one of the most powerful gang leaders in the country. No body will go up against the torture them so their families will pay huge ransoms. When Tate lays eyes on Lucia though all bets are off and the chemistry between them will melt your kindle right in you very hands. I too think this is the darkest book in this series. If you are sensitive to certain materials in books, you might want to miss this one. If you do love them though then you do not want to miss a single book in this series

His name was Joshua Carter. Now it’s whatever she wants it to be.

She is a Deliverer.

She lures young men and delivers them to be sold. She delivers the strikes that enforce their obedience. She delivers the sexual training that determines their purchase price.

As long as she delivers, the arrangement that protects her family will hold.

Delivering is all she knows.

The one thing she can’t deliver is a captive from slavery.

Until him.

And her stubborn slave thinks he can deliver her…from herself.

Deliver is the first book in Pam Godwin’s Deliver Series.

I read a lot of dark books. In fact they are probably one of my favorite types of books that I like the read. I kind of like to push my boundaries and see where the author takes me. However when I started Deliver I was so mad. I hated Liv with a passion. I have yet to this day to figure out if it was just my mood or if I was upset she took this sweet caring for his family, has more on his shoulders than he should carry boy from his family. And I have yet to figure out why in the world I reacted that way. That said it took me a bit to get into this book. However once I did I really liked Liv better but absolutely adored Josh. They certainly never met and said hey I want to know this person better and there are reasons for why Liv takes people and then delivers them. You just have to read this book to find out what and why because I hate spoilers. I devoured this book once I finally got over whatever was wrong with me. If you like your books dark and that keep you guessing then you do not want to miss Deliver. This is a great start to a series I can not wait to continue.

Vanquish, Book #2

itunes-logo-300x180

Her life is like a prison cell.
A self-made, to-hell-with-the-free-world existence that locks from the inside.
Stop judging. Her agoraphobia doesn’t define her. It simply keeps her safe.

He belongs in a prison cell.
The 6×8, make-me-your-bitch variety that locks from the outside.
But he’s free. To hunt. To take. To break.
And he just found a sexy new toy.

Capturing her is the easy part. Her fucked-up mind, however, makes him question everything he does next.
But he’s a determined bastard. If all goes his way, this will hurt like hell.

Vanquish

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Vanquish is the second book in the Deliver Series from Pam Godwin. While each book can be read as a standalone you so want to read these books in order.

Amber’s life is like a prison cell. A self-made, existence that locks from the inside. Stop judging. Her agoraphobia doesn’t define her. It simply keeps her safe. Van belongs in a prison cell that locks from the outside. But, he is free. To hunt. To take. To break. And he just found a sexy new toy. Capturing her is the easy part. Her mind however makes him question everything he does next. But his is determined and if all goes will this will really hurt.

We first met Van in Deliver. He was Liv’s for lack of a better word, partner in crime. They also have a child together and now that Liv has moved on Van needs to do the same. But, he has to keep tabs on his daughter. From the porch of a house that he thinks is abandoned, he spies on Liv. Secretly he still wants her back, but he also wants to be a dad to his daughter and hates the fact in a way that Live now has a relationship with her. Imagine his surprise when a woman, one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen steps out on the porch like a maniac and flees basically to her mail box but doesn’t make it back to the house without having the worlds biggest panic attack and starting the obsession Van will seem to have for Amber. He is going to fix her. Really though I was so hoping that they fixed each other. I know Van was the super bad guy in Deliver but in Vanquish we get to see a whole other side of him. A side that has always lived in him but he has obviously forgotten about. Poor Amber will break your heart with her terror of stepping outside to her OCD and other things that she does simply to survive a day. I say survive because she is by no means living life at all. A man destroyed her and it is going to take a stronger one to help her. Van is the man for that job. This book simply put is amazing. Once again Pam Godwin has blown me away.

Disclaim, Book #3

itunes-logo-300x180

Camila was seventeen when Van Quiso kidnapped her. Ten years after her escape, the shackles refuse to release her. Not while there are still slave traders preying on her city.
She will stop at nothing to end them.
Even if that means becoming a slave again.

Returning to chains is her worst fear—and only option. They won’t know who she is or what she intends to do. She’s prepared for every complication.
Except him.
The one who decimated her sixteen-year-old heart.

Matias is charming, gorgeous, and dangerously seductive. He’s also untrustworthy and enshrouded in secrets. After years of no contact, he finds her—on her knees, wrists bound, in the clutches of her enemy.
Will he sabotage her mission by needlessly saving her?
Or will he keep her in chains and never let her go?

Disclaim
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Disclaim is the third book in the Deliver Series by Pam Godwin. It can be read as a standalone. However I recommend that you read Deliver and Vanquish first and you will have a better understanding of all these characters that carry over in to other books.

Camila at the age of seventeen was kidnapped by Van Quiso to be made into a slave. Ten years after her escape she can’t seem to shake what has happened to her. She’s on a mission to rid her city of sex slave traders. She is willing to do anything even becoming a slave again. With her mission planned out and specific details complete she’s prepared for anything. Anything except him. The one who destroyed her heart when she was sixteen years old.

Matias is charming, gorgeous, and dangerous in more ways than one. He’s got deep dark secrets and is determined to have Camila. Again. He’s found her on her knees hands bound and blindfolded in the clutches of her enemy. Will Matais be able to tame Camila and needlessly save her or will he keep her in chains and never let her go??

Disclaim is absolutely amazing!! This is Pam Godwin at her finest. Dark books have quickly become some of my favorite books and Pam Godwin is at the top of my list of authors who write them. In Disclaim we meet Camilla who I liked right from the get go. She’s a strong, independent, woman who is on a mission and will let nothing stop her. As strong as she is, she is also searching for something that is missing in her life and never quite able to find it. Matias is just straight up alpha greatness. He’s dark and dangerous but has a soft spot in his heart for Camilla. They’ve known each other since they we’re kids and it was great to get glimpses of a younger Matias and Camila. So many secrets are kept but all will be revealed. It’s so worth the journey with these two amazing characters to learn their secrets and desires.

Disclaim is more than a book. It’s a journey. An experience. I’m so glad I got to read and review this book. I can’t wait to see where Pam Godwin takes us next.
