This is the second book in the Heroes and Villains Duet. You have to read The Heroes We Break first or you will be lost reading this book. This book picks up right were we left off. Poor Ophelia who is in the biggest mess and none of it of her own making. The Fox family has taken her in like family. Her father is keeping secrets in prison. And then Silas the one who saves her every single time is trying to convince her that he is her safest bet while keeping things from her too. I really felt for Ophelia. I know she had to feel like she had no control over her life at all with all the manipulation. This book is full of twists and secrets. All the while you as the reader are falling more and more for Silas and Ophelia. Those two are fated. I don’t care what anyone says. There are two many things that happen in this book to say anything about the story and not give something away. I loved getting to know the characters in this book better. Your going to hate Ethan even more than you probably already did. You will get to know Ophelia and Silas so much better and I loved the independence coming out of Opehelia. That girl has never been able to be her own person. So, it was a marvelous thing to see.
