This is the story of Willow and Royce. When she was younger she had a major crush on her best friend’s older brother. They ended up sharing one very heated kiss and that was it. To the friend zone is where that moment landed them and they have stayed that way. Plus there is an age gap between them. But getting over him was not easy but she did. He is a one woman one time kinds of guy and likes his adventures a little on the spicy BDSM side. He has known that Willow had a thing for him when she was in her teens but he has always felt that she was to good for him. Too sweet and innocent. But they have a great relationship for the last ten years and are the best of friends. She has also moved on and now he knows that her relationship is in a bad place and abusive. Now is his opportunity to be her safety. He is dedicated to it and little does his know that his sweet innocent Willow might just have a few surprises when it comes to exploring the spicy side of life. I loved these two together and separately. They have already bonded and when you add them falling for each other in totally different ways they are pure fire and super passionate together. I loved how protective he was of her. How dirty his mouth was. There is action and adventure and them being on the run. Moments that will have you melting and some that will have you fanning yourself. This was a really fun book to read.
