This is the story of Francesca and Jackson. She is dealing with some things after the tragic deaths of some relatives. She has come to Kansas to get their house in order so she can sell it. She has the nicest neighbor there and they become friends really quickly. But the man that lives in the garage. Now she is absolutely taken with him. Jackson is a mysterious guy who has this air of danger swirling around him. She is hooked and can’t stop thinking about him. She also has a nephew and he has the most horrible girlfriend. She seems really sweet at first but when Frankie finds out what she has done, all bets are off and she is out for revenge.
I loved Frankie. She is one of those girls you would meet and become fast friends with in real life. Both she and Jackson have been through so much and they deal with that every single day. Life has not been kind to them at all. She really is the sweetest person, strong, passionate and really funny. Jackson. Oh Jackson. This guy is really book boyfriend material. I loved him and the guy really cares about things. But I will say that in this book I struggled to see that at times. There are two writing styles in this book. First and third person and that third person was hard to not feel like Jackson was this cold detached man. I finally had to learn to pay attention to how he is in the chapters told in her point of view. This book is spicy too.
