Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

This is a small town, firefighter romance. Dylan is a songwriter. Her first thought when she sees Grady for the first time. He can do all kinds of dirty things to her. She is a girl who has been burned by a lot of people lately so a rebound with no strings attached with Grady is probably a bad idea. After all she is still having to work with her ex-boyfriend. What she really wants more than anything is a break from all the demanding people in her life. She just might find that when she discovers the small town of Sunnyville and meets her new roommate who happens to be a firefighter. He is a man living with his own demons and survivors guilt is really a thing that he struggles with daily. A fire that left his back scarred nearly destroyed him. He lives in fear daily. I loved these two and I loved watching them fall for each other while dealing with so much. These are two characters that you will be feeling their fears first hand. As someone married to a firefighter the person you love carries that fear right along with you. But I can’t even begin to imagine what Grady was living with on a daily basis. I love that this romance was character driven. I closed this book with a sense of peace and I really loved these characters so much. I have been thinking about them for days now.
