When we got the ARC for this story it came with an authors note part of the authors note said “hearted story that you read with a smile. No dark plots, tortured heroines, or dudes with guns here.” and it was just that. This book was a nice break from all the intense stuff I read a lot of. There was drama because well you can’t make a good story without some drama but it didn’t wreck me. I think that the drama was needed as a bit of a kick in the butt or an awakening to one of the characters.
The characters were great. I loved how the entire group of them interacted with each other not just the main couple. Also, I love me a fabulous gay best friend and this book has just that and his more down to earth partner. Even if he was a scaterbitch lol. I also, loved Decker’s parents and how they supported him and welcomed Andi in with open arms. They were all funny and I loved the dialog between then. It had me smiling and laughing out loud at some point.
If you want a nice light hearted make you laugh book about a male pornstar and a sweet Texas girl in New York grab Decker’s Wood.
