Don’t miss this heart pounding apocalyptic romance from New York Times bestselling author Kylie
Scott!
There’s only one person Dean Wallace wants to save from the end of the world: sunshine girl from
across the street. She’s always smiling. Who knows, maybe she can teach him a thing or two about how
to live? But saving her against her will is harder than he expected.
Astrid Hardy doesn’t know what to think when she wakes up in her hot neighbor’s basement. He says he
wants to protect her from the deadly virus threatening to collapse society. But that sounds like
paranoid conspiracy theory nonsense, and losing her sh*t seems like the correct response.
As they watch the downfall of the world play out online, hear approaching gunshots, and smell smoke
from nearby burning buildings, it all starts to seem horribly realistic. With almost everyone they know
dead, and law and order gone…how will they navigate this new world together?

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Wildflowers is an end of the world as we know it read. One that I devoured and loved every single second of. This is the story of Dean and Astrid. These two are neighbors and at times have been checking each other out. But, one day when she thinks he might be flirting with her, she ends up in a caged locked in his basement. He is actually saving her against her will. He wouldn’t want to spend the rest of his days, if there are many more left, with anyone else. When Astrid wakes up she is livid and confused. Insider information has made Dean sure the world as they know it is going to come crashing down thanks to a pandemic with a virus that no one has ever survived. People are dropping like flies and soon the world as we know it now will be turned to madness. Modern society is ending faster than anticipated and this is their journey to survive the end of it all. I don’t want to tell you more about the story. But I will say that I loved every second of it. After I got use to Astrids personality and her never seeming to be serious about much that is. At first I didn’t like it. But then I decided that that is just the way she is and rolled with it. I am so glad that I did. This is an amazing story of survival. Of who you can and can’t trust and taking care of the people you meet and begin to care about. You do not want to miss this book.
