Silverwood Public: Home to liars, thieves, and worst of all … the Scorpion Kings.
I was the Queen at my old school.
Born into wealth and power.
Now, thanks to my family’s deceit, I’m worse than nothing.
I’m a pariah and a target.
I’ve got no friends. No parents. No money. And no fucks left to give.
If the Scorpion Kings want to damage the new outcast of Silverwood, they’ll soon learn that anyone can
be a killer if you give her the right incentive.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Juliette and the Scorpion Kings. Gio, Lex, and Nolan. These characters have had totally different experiences in life. They are from the same town but one lives on the upper side of the town and the other three on the lower side. Broken down into the rich and the poor sides. She has always gone to Silverwood Prep and the guys have always went to Silverwood Public. There lives couldn’t have been more different. But one night and a series of events is about to change all of that for Juliette. She has lost her best friend, boyfriend, her dad and mom. Now she has to take care of herself and thank goodness she was able to do that. But she is public enemy number one thanks to the actions of a father she refuses to go see in Prison. From a young age all of the guy have had horrible fathers and took a action to take care of that. But they need Gio’s father till they can graduate and blow this town. They are known as the Scorpion Kings and Lex carries around a huge obsession as far a s Juliette is concerned. Brothers by choice they all kind of put up with his stalking Juilette who has no clue this is happening. But when she comes to their school everything changes slowly. She goes from having to fight her way literally throughout the day to drawing the attention of the Kings and all of them slowly falling for the girl that everyone hates. I loved Juliette. Her attitude at times was a little discouraging to me. But if I had been through what she had been through and only eighteen I’d probably have the same one. She is not going to let anyone run over her and trust me the girl knows how to kick some serious butt to defend herself. She though is also a really sweet girl who is scared and has a plan to graduate, get a scholarship and get out of Silverwood. The guys have the same plan but are going about this the opposite way of Juliette. One day though as Gio is keeping tabs on her someone comes in with the intent to harm her and she finds herself having to live with Nolan. But all of the guy take care of her and protect her the best they can. However, there is a lot that goes on in this book and no one knows who to trust and who not to trust. When a huge misunderstanding happens Juliette knows that she has been betrayed. And now she will be out for revenge. To say that I can’t wait to have the next book in my hot little hands is an understatement. I devoured this book. But I know that the next one I am going to see the rise of a Queen to their Kings and I can’t wait to see it all unfold. This is a book that you do not want to miss.

About Renee Henson

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too.
