This is the second book in the Mafia Empire Series. This book can be read as a standalone. However, the first book is really good too and you might not want to miss that one. This is the story of Cassia and Lincoln. She is a girl who underneath it all is really scared. However, she can’t let anyone see that fear or they will tear her apart. Her father is the head of the Greek Mafia. That makes her the next in line or take his place one day. She is keeping her head in the game and learning everything that she can. When tragedy strikes, she finds strength that she didn’t even know she had inside her. The time has come for her to lead with all the courage she has in her. Lincoln is a former Navy Seal and a sniper who works with Santiago. He has lost the only family he has ever known and he is struggling to deal with that. To say he is cold and distant might just be an understatement. The moment that these two meet there is a connection that you can feel bleeding off the pages. Now that he has to help her a few times he vows to protect her at all cost. This book is so good. It was impossible to lay it down. I loved these characters and this book. You do not want to miss it.
