This is the story of Gabby and Ben. She is the youngest daughter of a small town pastor. The girl has some serious goals and keeps her head down and will do what it takes to reach those goals. Being the youngest she has and is seeing her sisters rebel and make their parents lives a little chaotic. She however, feels like she needs to be the good girl. To not cause problems, do what it takes to make them happy and proud of her really. However, she has a secrets. She has had a crush on her sisters ex-boyfriend Matt. She has worked so hard to make sure that she gets into the same college in Mat. But she has also never been out on a date much less kissed a guy before. Ben, is her best friend. He has been since their very first day of high school. He has been in love with her since that moment. But he knows how she feels about Matt and has had to stand back and watch her pine over him while trying to ignore how he is feeling. However, she asks Ben to help her. She knows that if she is going to go after Matt, she has to know some things and asked Ben to teach her how to kiss. However, when she begs him to help her, he can’t tell her no. This is the beginning of some confusing feeling for Gabby since she enjoys kissing Ben. Does that mean she has feelings for him? What about the way she has felt about Matt for so very long. But, he never expected to suddenly leave college and go back home leaving Gabby with Matt waiting in the wings. She is hurt and confused. Does she really love her best friend or Matt? You have to read to find out. I am telling you that I was so hooked on this book and invested in what was going to happen, that I couldn’t lay this book down. It is really such a great coming of age story that will have you handing on every work.
