Audio Release: Sin and Redemption by Cora Reilly

I received a copy of this audiobook from the publisher to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Maximus and Sara. I thought that the narrator’s did an amazing job of bringing this book to life. Maximus is the enforcer for his Famiglia. He has never had a problem hurting others. It is what makes him so good at what he does. However, he never thought he would be in position to have to hurt someone he was always meant to protect. This is the beginning of his life starting to unravel. Sara has plans for her future. Marry the man she was promised to and have babies. She is ready to have her happy little family. She never saw those plans being destroyed. Now she is left with no other choice but to marry Maximus. She doesn’t want this to be the way things have to be. She was settled into what she was going to have before it was all ripped away. However, she loves her family and understands the duty she has to it. She is not going to let them down. This is a story that will have you hanging onto every word. However, I do have one thing that has really bothered me. I felt like while when dealt with Sara’s trauma, Maximus’s was kind of pushed to the side and he never really got to deal with it. Unlike Sara who has his support while trying to deal. I don’t know why that is, but it really bothered me and I didn’t like the injustice of it all.
