Unbroken by Jane Henry is now live!
A dark single dad, forbidden, mafia romance from USA Today Bestselling author Jane Henry
Vadka Dragunov—Bratva executioner, cold-blooded strategist… and my dead sister’s husband.
The man who built his empire in blood and protected it with silence. The man with a stare that holds me hostage—and a voice that cuts straight through me. I’ve avoided him, and the way he makes me feel, as I’ve wallowed in my own grief following my sister’s death.
But now there’s no escape. I’m living in his world. I’ve been targeted. The Irish want war. And the only safe place left is under his watch… or under him.
He’s a single father now—haunted, vengeful, and dangerous. A man who reads bedtime stories with the same blood thirsty eyes that promise death and retribution. The man who would raze the world to keep his son safe.
He thinks I’m reckless, chaotic, unpredictable. I was only a child when we first met. But he doesn’t see me as one anymore.
I see what he hides beneath all that control—the obsession simmering just below the surface. The way he watches me like he wants to equally destroy and devour me.
And now the same loss that tore us apart is now pulling us together.
I wasn’t supposed to end up in his bed.
But the Bratva is splintering. The Irish want blood.
And I’m spiraling – holding a secret that could end it all while falling for the man I can’t have.
Is there a future for Vadka and me, or will the secrets between us cause another tragedy?
Renee’s Five Star Review
This is the story of Vadka and Ruthie. If you have been reading this series you know that they both lost her sister at the end of the Unhinged. He is the Bravta executioner and strategist. He is a man with wrath in his eye and vengeance in his heart. He has built his empire in blood and protects it with silence. Ruthie is his dead wives sister and they met when she was young. The Irish want war and she needs to stay with him if he is going to be able to protect her. Both of these character’s have a background that will break your heart. He is fierce and protective but has this side to him that is passionate and gentle. I loved that he was on the road to breaking a generational curse for his son. I loved the moment that he is with is son. Ruthie is a girl who has low self worth. She is spunky and has this really bratty personality and I loved that about her. But I really loved the growth that happens in Unbroken. These two should be very much forbidden. But they are connecting on such a level that helps them both begin to heal emotionally. These two both deserve happiness and it was a beautiful thing to watch these two fight for it. I loved reading this book. It is more emotional than the other books in this series and a little lighter on the action. But, I didn’t mind that one bit.
