From USA Today Bestselling author, K Webster, comes a short, forbidden age-gap romance novella!
Getting dumped was rough.
Losing the baby? Heartbreaking.
Now I’m thirty-six, single, and stuck in a body I barely recognize.
Clara says I need fresh air and a fling.
I wasn’t expecting the fresh air to come with a stolen cat…
Or him.
Brayden Foss.
My sweet, quiet neighbor.
Freshly eighteen.
My landlord’s son.
Totally off-limits.
But he’s not a boy.
He cooks for me, looks at me like I’m everything, and shows up when no one else does.
Even when I push him away.
It was never supposed to be more than a spark.
But this thing between us?
It’s real. It’s wild. It’s ours.
A spicy, emotional age-gap romance featuring a soft but protective younger man, a broken-hearted older woman, and one meddling cat. No cheating. No cliffhanger. HEA guaranteed. This is a two-hour read and can be devoured in one sitting. This story takes place in the Taboo Streets world and can be read as a complete standalone.
Trigger Warning: Mention of prior miscarriage and body image insecurities.
Renee’s Five Star Review
This is the first story in the Taboo Streets series from K. Webster. If you have read some of her forbidden romances, you know you get dark and jaw dropping reads. This one is different from that. This book is actually a really sweet love story with a big age difference. But I really didn’t notice it so much while reading. He is eighteen and she is in her thirties. This is the story of Casey and Braydon. She is a woman who is dealing with not only the loss of a relationship but the loss of a baby and she is drowning. Her body and her heart have not recovered from any of the things that have gone on. She has a hard time dealing with the way she looks now and I really felt for her. I don’t like to look in a mirror period anymore. You back giving out before you do and the things you have to do to treat that really mess with your tiny little frame and soon you don’t know who is standing in front of the mirror looking back. so I could relate big time. Braydon is her landlord’s son. This guy, bless him, didn’t notice any of that about her and got to know Casey for who she is not what she thinks she is. I really loved the side of Casey that he brought out. I loved that he spoiled her and made her feel like she was special. I loved the connection they had. This was a really sweet story that you can read in a couple of hours.
