This is the story of Lucia and Callahan. He is an Irish Mob boss and she is a mafia princess. He is expected to marry the daughter of Mafia boss Vincent De Rosa. Lucia is one of the De Rosa daughter’s and she has avoided being the bride because her sister is chosen to marry Callahan. Though a series of events ends with her being the bride and the man who reduced her the night before is the groom. None of this really ever made sense to Lucia and this book is the spiral of her life running out of control and secrets and lies flying all over the place. She really goes though it and can’t figure out where everything went wrong. She doesn’t trust the men in her life, and that causes her to reconsider the path her life is currently on falling in love with a man isn’t in her plans any longer. Callahan has his own problems too. Someone is trying to take over the city and he and his brothers have to figure out who they are. Now he has a target on his back and Lucia is involved in a much bigger game. This book is one that keeps you on your toes. I loved the relationship between Lucia and Callahan. It is fiery at times and I loved how he was fighting for her and keeping her safe while she was fighting ever falling for the man she was already falling for. This is a good Mafia book.
