I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the story of Theo and Callie. She is a mechanic who works for an international motocross team. She should be having the time of her life. But now she is back in her home town because of a family emergency. Theo is a successful tech security CEO who has had to force himself to be happy with his life in a way. When his truck breaks down in front of Callie’s family’s diner she offers him a room for the night. It is only a matter of minutes before the sparks are flying. That night together shows them both that since she is a domme and he a sub that things could be amazing for them. However, they are both dealing with failed relationships and traumas that life has thrown at them. Theo had a terrible experience as a sub that has left him terrified to trust again. Callie’s only back home because of her sister’s accident and will be going back out for her job as soon as she can. Both devoted to their job and with trust issues and long distance the odds are stacked against them. Can they find a way to make this work?? I loved reading this book. Both the character’s are in their thirties. I thought it was a hot little read with character’s that your not going to be able to forget. It is certainly not all sunshine and roses but learning to trust and getting close is one of my favorite things to read in a romance.
